Northeast Regional Alliance MedPrep Program
Applications are now being accepted for the MedPrep Program. MedPrep is a 3-summer medical school preparation program for students from historically underrepresented or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The program is Free and students receive a small stipend for books. MedPrep accepts current college freshmen and sophomores in good academic standing who are residents of New York City, Long Island, Westchester, or New Jersey. The program includes science classes, seminars, study sessions, MCAT preparation, clinical experiences, and research experiences, and takes place during 6-7 weeks for three consecutive summers. The program takes place in two locations: New Jersey Medical School (for NJ residents) and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (for NY residents).
The application deadline for the summer of 2012 is February 1, 2012, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
