Emergency Department Medical Staff Facilitator/Liaison

NYU Langone Medical Center’s Emergency Department is looking for two exceptional individuals who can flourish in the busy world of a Manhattan Emergency Department. In a close working relationship with ED Physicians, Nurses, Residents and Physician Assistants you will work in the Emergency Department and provide enhanced communication between the Emergency Department Medical Staff, ED patients and referring physicians.

Duties:
-Provide outgoing communication from the ED to the medical staff physician about the status of their patients who have visited the ED
-Serve as a resource for incoming calls/faxes/communications from outside medical staff members in regards to patients that they would like to send to the ED
-Round on patients in the ED to verify that we have correct information in regards to their PMD and referring specialists
-Work with the ED attending, resident and nursing staff to develop enhanced modes of communications with patients and the Private medical staff(email, text, etc)
-Work with ED attending staff to relay relevant patient encounter information to the referring medical staff member
-Other duties as assigned by the Tisch ED Service Chief

Salary is 40k per year for (4) ten hour shifts per week; initially 9a-7p
