Survive and Thrive Event, hosted by the Prehealth Advisory Board


The Prehealth Advisory Board presents “Survive and Thrive,” a workshop led by your peers to help you succeed as a prehealth student at NYU. We’ll provide our  experiences in navigating through research and volunteer opportunities, coping with stress, preparing for the MCAT, developing strategies for prehealth courses, and writing your AMCAS application. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from those who have been through it already!

Come get advice about applying to medical school from a panel of doctors who serve the Korean American community! Panelists will include MDs, DOs, and oversees medical graudate. Q/A to follow...

AKAM is an organization made up of all 1.5 or 2nd generation Korean American physicians who graduated from a US medical school.  AKAM  believes that Korean students face different pressures when applying to medical school than other minorities and has been holding an annual seminar for the past five years to provide real world advice for students that are interested.
